Privacy Policy

The short version

DriftTest does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information. Everything the app does happens on your iPhone. There are no accounts, no servers, and no analytics.

Health data

DriftTest requests read-only access to certain data in Apple Health so that it can analyse workouts you have already recorded. Depending on what you allow, this may include workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, distance and speed, elevation and workout routes, running power, and your date of birth.

This data is used for one purpose: to calculate your heart-rate drift and estimate your aerobic threshold and heart-rate zones.

• Health data is read from Apple Health on your device and analysed on your device.
• Health data is never transmitted off your device, to us or to anyone else.
• Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared.
• DriftTest does not write anything to Apple Health.
• You can withdraw any or all of these permissions at any time in the Health app, under Sharing → Apps → DriftTest.

Data the app stores

The results of your analyses — drift results, thresholds, zones, and the settings you enter, such as treadmill speed or machine level — are saved locally on your iPhone. They may be included in your device backups, which are controlled by you and by Apple, not by us.

You can delete everything the app has stored at any time from Settings inside the app, and deleting the app removes it all.

Analytics and tracking

There are none. DriftTest contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting service and no third-party trackers of any kind. We do not use the Advertising Identifier and we do not track you across apps or websites.

Purchases

DriftTest offers a single one-time purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple provides the app with a purchase receipt so that it can unlock the paid features and restore your purchase on your other devices; that receipt contains no health information.

Children

DriftTest is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or erase on your behalf. All of your data is already in your possession, on your device, under your control. You can remove it at any time as described above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Any change that materially affects how the app handles your data will also be described in the app's release notes.
